SANTA FEThe New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD) will host the FY23 Q2 Tourism Commission meeting on December 14 at 3:30-5 p.m. at Hotel Castañeda, 524 Railroad Ave., Las Vegas, NM 87710, to provide an update on the state of tourism for the region after a year of unprecedented wildfires and flooding.

Beyond a discussion about the state of tourism for Las Vegas, NM, the meeting agenda will also include an update about the department’s upcoming tourism exchange and the 2023 Legislative Session among other topics. The full agenda is available here.

“Concluding the calendar year by hosting our Tourism Commission meeting in Las Vegas is a good way to acknowledge the profound perseverance exhibited by the region during a very difficult year and that brighter days are ahead,” Tourism Secretary Jen Paul Schroer said.

“We’re encouraged to see the Tourism Department and the Tourism Commission visit our community and we welcome a discussion about the state of tourism and the possibilities for future growth,” City of Las Vegas Mayor Louie Trujillo said.
