SANTA FE — The Route 66 Centennial Coordination Group will be hosting its next meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in Albuquerque at the Albuquerque Museum.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide residents and other local stakeholders with the opportunity to share their ideas and perspective on how New Mexico can prepare to celebrate the Route 66 Centennial in 2026. During this meeting, there will be a series of roundtable discussions that will cover marketing, special events, product development, infrastructure and consumer experiences. This meeting is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to participate and share their ideas.

This will be the first Route 66 Centennial stakeholder meeting hosted in Albuquerque and the third overall stakeholder meeting hosted by the Coordination Group. Stakeholder meetings were previously hosted in Tucumcari and Santa Rosa.

The Route 66 Centennial Coordination Group was created to assist the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission by identifying activities, projects and events that will properly honor and celebrate U.S. Route 66 for its centennial anniversary in 2026.
