Acoma Pueblo is in the spotlight after local filmmakers launched a half-hour documentary and curriculum highlighting the Sky City Cultural Center and sustainable architecture.

The documentary explores the roots of the Haaku’me people, their culture and the architectural emergence of the Acoma Sky City Cultural Center that plays a vital role in promoting tourism. In 2014 Acoma was voted number one in USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice contest for 'Best Native American Experience. 

Architecture for EveryBody is a not-for-profit initiative that strives to “empower communities by sharing knowledge of historic preservation and sustainable design methods to conserve resources and reduce bills” through the 2018: New Mexico Sustainable for 1000 Years Education Portal.

”Emergence: Acoma Sky City Cultural Center” was Architecture for Everybody’s inaugural film. The group of strategic partners work on projects all over the state to preserve, empower and secure the architecture our ancestors left behind.

Architecture for EveryBody will be shooting another documentary about the sustainable design of Bandelier National Monument and Tsankawi.
