Winter travel accounts for a fourth of our annual visitation, and you might think that those trips are being generated by winter recreation alone. However, research shows us that New Mexico’s unique culture is just as important to winter travel as the rest of the year. This means that your destination or attraction doesn’t need to be next to a ski area to grow winter travel. Every corner of our state benefits from winter travel.

We want to maximize your reach by helping you promote events in your area. Crafts, cuisine, and culture - we want them all! We’re putting together a roundup of festivals and fairs that occur this winter to publish on NewMexico.org, pitch to local and national media, and share on our social networks. Would you like your event to be considered?

1. Add it to the event calendar at NewMexico.org (submissions not posted on NewMexico.org will be considered ineligible), and
2. Send us an email at Industry.Relations@state.nm.us with the following information:
   • Event name
   • Dates
   • Location
   • 2-3 sentence description
   • Website
   • Contact for media interviews
   • Minimum of 2 hi-res photos

The deadline to submit your event(s) is Friday, October 26.
