NMTD is seeking a high caliber public relations agency that is well-seasoned in National and International Travel Public Relations to increase its overall earned media value, while strategically positioning New Mexico as the primary destination for the venturesome traveler.
The New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD) created the New Mexico True brand to eliminate misconceptions that New Mexico is a dry, arid, barren desert state with nothing to do. Since the launch of the brand in 2012, the economic impact of tourism in New Mexico has grown for eight consecutive years. In 2015, New Mexico True branded initiatives received two prestigious awards for “Best Digital Campaign,” and it was awarded the 2018 “Best Cooperative Marketing Program” in the country. Most recently, the New Mexico True Story series was awarded the inaugural “Best Storytelling Award” in the U.S. by Brand USA.
In collaboration with NMTD, the Contractor shall perform the Scope of Work to build destination brand awareness, create deep connections with the venturesome traveler, and inspire increased visitation to the state of New Mexico.
This procurement will be executed for a term not to exceed four (4) years.
