For the second year running, Keres Children’s Learning Center in Cochiti Pueblo won the Community Division of the Keep America Beautiful’s annual Recycle Bowl.
This year 1,000 schools participate, over 550,000 students and staff members, through the Recycle-Bowl four-week competition. In total, the schools recycled 2 million pounds.
“Our team is always amazed by the effort that schools demonstrate to celebrate recycling and educate their students about how to recycling more and reduce their environmental impacts,” Keep America Beautiful said in a release.
Among all those school that participated, two New Mexico educational centers came out on top – winning awards. Tularosa High School won the School Division in New Mexico.
