Letters of interest are now being accepted for the Regional Marketing Board (RMB) program. The RMB program exists to create strategic alliances to accommodate and promote regional tourism, development, and marketing efforts.
New Mexico is made up of six marketing regions, and each region has a seven - nine member board appointed by the cabinet secretary of the Tourism Department. Board members are volunteers and are considered the "best and brightest marketing minds in New Mexico."
Each board meets quarterly, with one of those meetings held in conjunction with the Governor's Conference on Tourism in May. Board members are expected to be accountable to fellow board members and the New Mexico Tourism Department, communicate news of your region and respond to correspondence within a reasonable time frame, share your marketing insight and regional knowledge, and assist in sharing NMTD news and promotions with tourism partners throughout your region.
If you are interested in serving as a member of your RMB, please submit your letter of interest before December 29, 2017. New board members will be expected to attend the next RMB meeting on January 29, 2018 in Santa Fe (in conjunction with the TRENDS conference).
