As a native New Mexican, I have embraced and lived the familial and cultural values, traditions, and rituals I grew up with, all of which find their way into my jewelry. As a native New Mexican, I have embraced and lived the familial and cultural values, traditions, and rituals I grew up with. Incorporating the healing properties of turquoise, a mineral that been used by ancient civilizations, with the element of silver opens a world of creativity and exploration.

Today, 50 years after I began to silversmith, I continue the family tradition of creating silver, turquoise, and other gem jewelry by teaching a new generation of family artists.

My pieces incorporate traditional and contemporary styles which highlight the natural beauty of turquoise and other precious and semi-precious gems I work with.

I am a member of the Corrales Society of Artists, the Corrales Historical Society, and the Corrales Arts and Cultural District Steering Committee. I am also Chair of the Board of New Mexico Voices for Children, a research, policy, and advocacy non-profit organization.
