Concho Hills Guest Ranch: The perfect blend of western hospitality, location, and history.
The owner’s (Tim and Marilyn) love for the southwest and American western heritage is obvious in every detail at Concho Hills Guest Ranch. From the Adobe main ranch house with viga and latias ceilings, the southwest style guests quarters, to the cow horses and cattle, the ranch has been developed to share the western way of life with their exclusive guests.
Situated in the foothills of the San Mateo Mountains on the edge of the San Agustin Plains (on the historic Magdalena Stock Highway), this location was chosen for its spectacular vistas, diversity of terrain, rich history, and moderate temperatures. Come stay for a few days or weeks and experience the western lifestyle and participate in our horseback riding and ranch activities. Arrive as guests and leave as family.
We live in one of the most picturesque and historic areas in the U.S. Inhabited for over 13,000 years, Paleo-Indians, American Indians, Spanish explorers and settlers, and American explorers and settlers have risked their lives to come to his area to seek a means of living and their good fortunes.
Come ride the range on the plains, in the forest, or rocky canyons. Enjoy ranching, horseback riding, exploring, and hiking that will allow you to view and photograph the grandeur, beauty, and wildlife of the great Southwest. You can learn to care for and saddle your horse, rope, shoot, or crack a whip! Later, watch the sun set, have dinner, and relax around the campfire or fireplace, and meet new friends. Or, perhaps you would prefer solitude under a blanket of stars, serenaded by the occasional call of nature’s children.
At 7400 ft. above sea level, our temperatures are moderate so we are open all year.
Award Winning! Concho hills just received True West Magazine's 2018 readers choice award for Best Heritage Guest Ranch and DudeRanch.com's 2017/2018 Signature Ranch Award in three categories! See www.conchohillsranch.com for details.
