The Jemez Mountains provide the backdrop for this stunning year-round retreat surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pine forests. Fenton Lake State Park is a mellow mountain escape with a fishing and canoeing lake. The park also attracts campers, hikers and cross-country skiers. Stocked with rainbow trout from fall through spring, the lake is home to German brown trout. Although most anglers prefer the warmth and comfort of summer, there is also winter ice fishing.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to extreme fire danger and closures of the Santa Fe National Forest this park is closed until further notice. Visitors who have reserved campsites at this park during the closure should contact Reserve America at 1-877-664-7787 for refunds/transfers of pre-paid reservable campsites.
