Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch
1 Wall Lake Road Winston, NM NM

Escape and unwind on a horseback riding vacation in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Reconnect with family, friends and nature! Explore incredible deep canyons with crystal clear spring fed streams, Ponderosa forests, open meadows and mountain views overlooking the 3.3 million acre Gila National Forest!

Enjoy responsive, well cared for horses and comfortable tack. From atop your well-trained horse, spot abundant wildlife including elk, mule deer, and javelina.

Take a step back in time and experience 1,000-year-old cliff dwellings, pueblo villages and pit houses dating back to the Mimbres people who were here between 250-1150 AD! Search for pottery shards and view pictographs still remaining from these ancient people. This is also the birthplace of the famous Apache warrior Geronimo and the homeland of the Chiricahua Apaches.

Soak in the days experiences around a campfire with s’mores and fantastic stargazing! Other activities that our guests enjoy are hiking, unguided fishing, outdoor and indoor games, roping lessons, photography, swimming in the creek, or just reading a good book on one of our bench swings.

Come enjoy warm hospitality and personal attention at our small ranch. Comfortable, well-appointed cabins for your home away from home, 3 delicious meals a day and extraordinary peacefulness are all yours to enjoy during a stay at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch. You will make memories that will last a lifetime!

Open March through November.
