Days bring beautiful, warm, sunny, clear blue skies and air scented by tall ponderosa pines. Evenings bring dark, star-filled skies, cool mountain air and a peaceful night's rest to the sound of the Pecos River flowing by.
Nearby are hiking trails, some to alpine lakes, and the Pecos National Historical Park. The city of Santa Fe offers museums, galleries and restaurants. The Santa Fe Opera is an hour's drive.
The cabin is furnished with a blend of Southwestern and Old Mexico furniture, art and crafts. A large porch provides a view of the Pecos River and striking mountain vistas. A charming gazebo provides an outdoor dining area with gas grill and fire pit.
The cabin has one bedroom with a lodge pole pine queen bed, a full bath, open plan living room, kitchen and dining area with high ceiling, queen sleeper sofa bed, gas log stove and washer/dryer.
Linens, towels and paper products are provided. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all cookware. Some staples like coffee, flour, sugar and spices are provided as well.
For indoor entertainment there is a TV to play videos, as well as books, puzzles, and games. The telephone is for local calls (including Santa Fe) and calling card calls.
