Central Location Macey Center is an integral part of New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. It is located in central New Mexico at the junction of Interstate 25 and Highway 60 - West, making it a highly accessible location for any event. The Center’s placement two hours north of Las Cruces and two hours south of Santa Fe allows all your conference members to drive to and from events on the same day. Meetings and Conferences Macey Center’s two large conference areas, Galena Room and Copper Room, accommodate up to 90 in theater-style seating, up to 80 in banquet setting, or up to 64 in classroom seating. Both are also ideal for dinner and luncheon meetings. The Copper room can be divided in half to hold breakout sessions or smaller meeting groups. Additional meeting rooms are situated on campus within walking distance. Technical staff and ample equipment are available to meet all your audio/visual needs. Special Events Macey Center has hosted numerous special events including weddings, receptions, the performing arts, banquets, and dances. The Upper Lobby can accommodate up to 180 banquet style and is connected to an adjoining patio leading to a unique water pond. In addition, there are various areas that can be used for dances and/or live music. The theater is a fully equipped performing arts facility that hosts a variety of productions and seats over 600.
