Our sunrise hot air balloon flights take us over the beautiful landscape of the Rio Grande del Norte National monument, just outside Taos, New Mexico. The Sangre de Christo mountains provide a backdrop to the dramatic Rio Grande Gorge cutting through the expansive, Sage-covered Taos Plateau. Depending on the time of year and the weather conditions, we will often descend into the gentle air currents of the gorge to fly just above the river, offering a truly unparalleled balloon flight and perspective of the Rio Grande flowing quietly through the 600 ft deep canyon. We are, as far as we know, the only hot air balloons flying in a National Monument and are grateful to be able to share the most beautiful flight in the Country with people from all over the world. We love what we do and endeavor to make each and every flight an unforgettable experience with memories to inspire you for a long time to come. Come fly with us !
We are a locally owned and operated small business that places great importance on safety and sharing a genuine and personal experience of flight with our passengers. We hope that the uniqueness of both what we do and how we do it will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
Our pilots hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate (“license”) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), maintain a Second-Class Medical Certificate through a Aviation Medical Examiner, and have extensive training and flight experience. All of our balloons are regularly maintained and inspected in accordance with FAA requirements. Our decision to fly, or not, on any given day is always based on the safety and well being of our passengers and ourselves.
