"Billy the Kid Scenic By-Way" is History-To-Go along the two-lane blacktops of Lincoln County and is truly a trip to remember. We are one of the premier locations for Fine Art featuring local artist as well as artists from around the world. Our annual Art Festival is held the fourth weekend in July. A favorite nationwide juried Art Show with over 100 artists displaying their works. Ruidoso Downs Race Track is home to the world's richest Quarter Horse race, the million dollar All American Futurity features the best Quarter Horses in the world and the finest Thoroughbred racing in the southwest.
