Solano's began September, 1956. Andy Solano opened a small boot repair shop. After resurrecting countless pairs of cowboy boots Andy’s wife Fabie joined him & opened a small western wear store. The business began to grow throughout the next decade, in 1976, their eldest son Ralph returned to Raton & dedicated himself to the business. Ralph created the unique atmosphere that makes Solano’s what it is today. He began to stock a wider variety of merchandise while expanding on the selection of boots. The next 30 years the business continued to flourish & gained regional & national recognition as one of the most unique & authentic western stores in the country. The verity of merchandise at Solano’s is one-of-a-kind. Includes items as tall top boots designed by Solano’s, 5-inch brim hats, old west style clothing & more. Today, Solano’s is still run by family. Fabie & Andy the owners/operators, daughter Sandy is manager, grandson Drey is the Webmaster, granddaughter Tiffany is a sales clerks & long time employee Sandi does all the rest.
