The Abo Pass Trail Scenic Byway is all about connections.

The trail connects the remnants of Abo Pueblo on its eastern end to the city of Belen on the west and El Camino Real Scenic Byway to the Salt Missions Scenic Byway. Throughout history, this trail has been a key east/west connection for trade – today by train and in its ancient beginnings, by foot. Ancient Pueblo life, Spanish exploration, and frontier trade have all helped shape this ancient path.
