Cedar Crest is located along the eastern base of the Sandia Mountains.
These mountains boast an archaeological continuum of human activities from the end of the last Ice Age through the present.
It is bordered by the village of Tijeras to the south. It is home to a diverse selection of shops, restaurants, public hiking trails, horseback riding and biking. Cozy mountain lodging includes several B&B's and a convenient camping & RV park.
