A Mountain Village for All Seasons 

Surrounded by pine forests high up in the mountains, Cloudcroft welcomes visitors all year round.  

The cool air makes outdoor time more comfortable during the hot summer months, allowing visitors to enjoy everything the outdoors have to offer—hiking, biking, golfing, and time along mountain streams.  

In the winter, Cloudcroft transforms into a snowy wonderland as snow blankets the mountains, drawing skiers and snowboarders to nearby local slopes.

The Sacramento Mountains surrounding Cloudcroft offer hundreds of miles of trails and scenic mountain roads for you to explore.  

Catch the sunset over the mountain range at Sunspot Scenic Byway, take a quiet walk in Lincoln National Forest, or hike the Cloud Canyon Trestle Trail to see the old railroad trestle—a reminder of the area’s early rail era.

For expansive mountain views, consider The Lodge at Cloudcroft. Built in 1899, it remains a defining landmark that combines old-world charm and modern amenities. Guests can spend the day outdoors, then return for golf, spa time, or a quiet evening. 

The village’s walkable layout makes it easy to explore local shops and galleries along Burro Avenue. Nearby attractions also include the Bigfoot Encounter and petroglyph sites.
